Location

Villa Magdalena is situated 12 km from Corfu Town, CFU Airport, and the ferry terminal. We are centrally located in the nature-rich Ropa Valley, on the vibrant west coast of Corfu.

The west coast is known for its beautiful beaches, the golf course, the go-kart course, the Aqualand water- theme park and many scenic villages. All are within a 5 - 10 minute drive from Villa Magdalena.

Getting here

From the end of March until the beginning of November there are daily direct flights from many major cities. During the off season there are daily flights to Corfu from Athens. If you do not want to fly, you can also travel by ferry from Italy with services from Venice, Ancona and Bari to Igoumenitsa, and than take the 1 hour ferry ride to Corfu town.

Ropa Valley

 

The Ropa Valley is a plain of about 2,500 acres in the centre of Corfu. It was once was a lake but, having been drained, it is now covered with a network canals which carry away the rainwater from the surrounding hills into the Ropa or Ermones River and then into the sea. The valley is an important wetlands habitat, home to a multitude of birds, amphibians, fish, and mammals. In early summer you will see an abundance of colours from the many wild flowers. Villa Magdalena has mountain views right across the valley with their contrasting foliages of cypresses, pines and olive trees.

A great base for futher exploration of the island

 

Because of the central location of Villa Magdalena it is an ideal base for further exploration of the island:

  • Corfu Town and the Airport are about 12km away

  • The stunning west coast beaches of Ermones, Mirtiotissa, Glyfada, Paleokstritsa  and Pelekas are 5 -15 minutes drive away, depending on which beach you wish to visit

  • Aqualand Water Park is only a 4 minute drive away 

  • The popular resort of Liapades is a 10 minute drive  away

  • The beautiful town of Paleokastritsa is 15 minutes away.

 

5 minutes away by car in the village of Agios Ioannis, there is a supermarket and several excellent restaurants and tavernas for you to explore.
